Jean-Philippe Labrecque Appointed Deputy Director of the International Health Unit (USI) of the Université de Montréal and the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal.

Approved by the Management Committee of the International Health Unit, ESPUM’s Board confirmed the reappointment of Jean-Philippe Labrecque as Deputy Director of the USI.

Jean-Philippe Labrecque, Deputy Director, USI “With a team of health, project management and administration/financial experts and specialists, the International Health Unit is prepared to face international health challenges, particularly during the pandemic. I will continue mobilizing our teams in the sound management of our organization, while overseeing the development of new projects and opportunities,” Mr. Labreque said on the occasion of his reappointment.

 

Based at the USI since January 2020, Jean-Philippe Labrecque holds a Master of International Project Management from the École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP). With over 25 years of experience in international project development and management, he has worked on university, basic education, healthcare and local development projects, among others, in Africa, Haiti, Latin America and Asia. Over the course of his career, Mr. Labrecque has honed his skills within such organizations as the UN, public international organizations and the private sector. His experience and strategic approach to international development constitute a great asset for the USI.
