Appointment of Karina Dubois-Nguyen to the position of Director.

USI becomes part of École de santé publique (ESPUM) following its creation.

Privileged partnership with the CHUM, which enables to expand its network of healthcare professionals and its expertise in hospital expertise.
2002
A global health branch is created at the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). USI begins to carry out activities with the CHUM.
1998
Expansion of USI mission following the recommendations of an interfaculty committee, composed of professors and deans.
1989
Creation of USI, attached to the UdeM Faculty of Medicine under the interest of several professors in global health including Pierre Fournier who became the first director. Lucien Albert appointed director.
