Renforcement d’un réseau mondial de jeunes leaders engagés pour le développement des communautés

Strengthening a global network of young leaders committed to community development

General Information

The Renforcement d’un réseau mondial de jeunes leaders engagés pour le développement des communautés project is a four-year grant funded through the Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship Program. Its aim is the mobility of talent between Canada and other nations.

Through international experiences such as internships and research or study stays with partner organizations and exchanges within the fellowship community and its related networks, these young community builders will strengthen their leadership, their professional skills and their commitment to local and international community organizations in an interdisciplinary and multidimensional perspective.

For this project, the Université de Montréal, and more specifically the École de santé publique de l’Université de Montréal, the Observatoire de la Francophonie Économique and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences have identified three areas of intervention priority:

-           Economic growth;

-           The environment;

-           Governance.

 End of program date: December 30, 2021.

Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship – Advanced Scholars

BRE-CNS

With financial support from the International Development Research Center and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Queen Elizabeth II Canadian Diamond Jubilee Scholarships: Avanced Scholars (QES-Advanced Scholars) program has expanded its reach to support doctoral, postdoctoral and early career researchers from Canada and low and middle-income countries (LMICs) to find solutions to complex national and global problems.

The QES-Advanced Scholars program focuses on building the capacities of establishments in partner countries of the southern hemisphere and aims to involve 420 researchers in international research projects, thereby helping to improve the exchange of talent between Canada and other countries.

For this project, the Université de Montréal, and more specifically the École de santé publique de l’Université de Montréal and the Faculté de droit (Faculty of Law) have identified three areas of intervention priority:

- Governance and justice;

- Maternal and child health;

- Health and environment.

End of program date: December 30, 2020.

The Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships are administered through a unique partnership between the Rideau Hall Foundation, Community Foundations Canada (CFC), Universities Canada and Canadian universities. This program is made possible thanks to financial support from the Government of Canada, provincial governments and the private sector.
